My Current Obsession!!!

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you may have noticed there haven't been many updates lately. Sorry about that. I seem to be going through a "not in the mood" phase lately. Don't worry though, I'm sure that will change. So the highlight of this past week for me has been "Timberweek" on Jimmy Fallon. What is "Timberweek" you ask? Why it is an entire week of Justin Timberlake on Jimmy Fallon. Which leads me to the title of this blog entry, my current obsession is the one and only Justin Timberlake. An even bigger obsession, JT and Jimmy Fallon together. Seriously, the two are AMAZING together. I laugh hysterically every time they do a skit with each other. JT also hosted SNL last week and while it wasn't as good as some of the other times he has hosted, it was still pretty awesome. If you are wondering why JT is my current obsession it is because the man can basically do anything and do it great. The guy can sing, dance, act, do comedy, and seems like a pretty great person all around. Oh and he is frickin hot too! Luckily my BFF is also currently obsessed with him and asked if I would like to go see him in concert this summer....my answer: HELL YES!! So we got ourselves a date with JT (and Jay-Z) this summer. Bring on August!!

The first two clips are from a skit that Jimmy Fallon apparently does fairly often, but this was my first time seeing it. It is in two parts, if you want to skip past the interview with Steve Carrell at the beginning you can, but it helps explain what you are watching (the skit starts at about the 1:50 mark).

Weekly Song Wednesday- Some Nights

So let me start off with a little explanation here. Usually for "Weekly Song Wednesday" I like to feature a song that is new or not very mainstream. However this week I am breaking the rules...sort of. The song this week is "Some Nights" by Fun. Yes it is overplayed and has been out for months, but I still love it. The version I am featuring this week isn't a version I've heard before either. Its by Tyler Ward (whom I have featured multiple times...love him!!) and Alex G. A nice slow, acoustic version of the song, completely different from the original. I absolutely love it! Give it a listen and let me know what you think!!!

YouTube Tuesday!!

I know many of you have probably seen the video I am featuring this week, but it is still pretty hilarious. I first saw it on Facebook a week or two ago, but have been really slacking in my updates lately so I'm just now getting around to sharing it. You can't not laugh while watching it, whether it is at the baby or her big sisters adorable laugh. Its all kinds of cuteness!!

 

YouTube Tuesday- Big Bang Flash Mob

I mentioned in my post from the weekend that I will continue to do YouTube Tuesday posts if I found videos I just had to share. Well readers, I found one! I am a huge fan of Big Bang Theory so when I saw Jim Parsons on Jay Leno talking about a flash mob that the cast and crew surprised the directors with, I just had to find it on YouTube. Oh let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Not only do I love Big Bang Theory, but I also love flash mobs. So when you combine the two, it is just a recipe for awesomeness. Check it out below. This Shall Be Called A Variety Post :)

Hey all! I have been informed by one of my loyal readers that I haven't updated in a while so I figured it was time for another posting. I don't have anything specific to type about, so this shall be a variety post :). After all my blog is called "Its All Random" so I guess its fitting. First of all let me notify you all of how my money saving challenge is going that I blogged about in my last post. We are beginning the 5th week of the month tomorrow, so I am up to date with my weekly challenges so far. I've only had to deposit a total of $10 to date, but its a start right. I know with the amounts getting higher it will be more of a challenge, but my debt is getting lower so I think I will be able to make it happen! I still think I am going to skip around weeks and get the biggest amounts deposited ASAP so I can just worry about the smaller amounts. Have any of you tried this challenge? How are you doing with it??

 

Next I was looking for suggestions or ideas of what to blog about. When I first started this blog, I had designated days for different topics ( My 5 Monday, YouTube Tuesday, Weekly Song Wednesday, etc). Clearly I have fallen off that regimen, but I am looking for new things to feature. I still will be featuring my favorite YouTube videos and songs I am loving, but not on a weekly basis. I am thinking about starting a "Flashback Friday" where I feature things that I loved in the past and now miss. You should all be aware of my love of the 90's since I featured a three part series on my favorite things from back then. Those postings also happen to be the most read posts from my blog, so clearly I am not the only one with a profound love for that decade. So with all that being said I think I am going to start "Flashback Fridays". Hopefully this Friday will be the beginning of that and I am crossing my fingers that it is a success!

 

Finally, I came across this article which I found to be extremely amusing. I seriously was reading it at 11:30 last night and actually laughing out loud. It is that awesome. Therefore I am going to share it with all of you. For my fellow 90's children you will get a kick out of this for sure. It is titled "22 Looks Justin Timberlake Needs To Bring Back Right Now" and it is complete with pictures which make it that much better. Enjoy!!!

Money Saving Idea!!!

One of my resolutions this year is to save more money. This past Christmas, I was able to get 95% of my shopping done without using credit cards. Kohls had to suck me in by giving me 30% off if I used my Kohls charge, so that is the only time I used a credit card this holiday season. Pretty good for me!! Also, I will have two bills paid off within the next two months. Yay me!! That all being said I found this great way to save money the entire year on Facebook.

 

This seems pretty smart to me. Start off easy and then build your way up each week. If I do it the entire year, I will have almost $1400 saved up. I think I may tweak it tho and pick a random amount that week and then cross that amount off the list. For example, next week I may throw in $20 instead of $2 and then just cross week 20 off the list. This way I can do what I can afford and still end up with the same amount at the end of the year. I most likely will be doing the larger amounts after I get my taxes back and not saving the largest amounts for the same time I am spending money on Christmas. The Nov/Dec weeks actually may be the lower amount weeks! Hopefully I can make this work!

Wow it has been way too long since I have updated this blog of mine! Rest assured though, with the holidays over and winter here, I will be updating more frequently. I plan on having a real post this weekend. Please be sure to check it out if any of you are actually still following my posts!!
