I'm gonna be honest and let you all know this week's song is kinda a sad one. I really like it though :). It's called "Hear You Me (May Angels Lead You In)" by Jimmy Eat World. I am pretty sure I heard this song in some TV show or movie and fell in love with it so I had to google it to find out what is was. I first heard it a few years ago, but still love it. I am pretty sure it was never released to radio (I think), so that is probably why I never got sick of it. Hope you all like it too!!

YouTube Tuesday!!
Well before I announce the video pick of the week I want to thank my lovely follower RedHeadedMom for her suggestion last week. However, I tried searching for it in YouTube and got a lot of results that I was afraid to open lol. If you can send me the direct link, I will check it out and hopefully have it ready for next week :). Now on to this weeks selection. This week's pick comes from a very talented singer named Lynzie Kent. The song I chose to feature is "Use Somebody". I LOVE this song and she does such an amazing job singing it. The guitar player is pretty great too! This video has had over 3 million hits to date. If you like this one I highly recommend checking out some of her other covers which include Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and even Justin Beiber. This girl seriously has some talent and needs to be signed ASAP! Hope you all like it!!

My 5 Monday!!
This week's My 5 is all about traveling. I LOVE traveling. I wish I could go on vacation every year. For 3 years in a row I did, but no vacationing this year :(. Maybe next year though. This weeks My 5 is:
"My 5 Places I Want to Visit Before I Die"
1. Hawaii
Seriously who doesn't want to go to Hawaii. Every time I see pictures of it or see it on the screen I wish I were there. Beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches, friendly people....PARADISE!!! I also really want one of those beautiful leis they give you when you get off the plane!'
2. Tahiti
If you want my reasons for wanting to visit here just read the above about Hawaii. Basically all the same reasons. I remember seeing Ali travel there on this past season of "The Bachelorette" and I was completely jealous (for more reasons than one). It just looks so relaxing!!
3. Australia
Well I guess I should've been in Oprah's audience a couple weeks ago and this trip would've actually happened. So envious of those people by the way!! Australia is one of the only countries I would want to travel to honestly. The people seem very friendly, they have great accents, and it just seems such a nice continent. Lots of kangaroos and koala bears too I hear!! This is probably the least likely place I will actually make it to, but I can still dream right!!
4. Walt Disney World
So I have never been to Disney before. Seriously. Even though I am in my twenties, I still want to go there though. C'mon now its called the "happiest place on Earth" how could I NOT want to visit there. I am sure I won't be going there until I have some kiddies of my own, but rest assured, I will make it there one day!! Oh yea, and I will also TOTALLY ride the Dumbo ride no matter how old I am when I go there!!
5. New York City in the fall/winter
So I have been to NYC twice in the spring and I LOVE it! I wish I could go there every year. There is so much to do and even though I have been there twice in the last few years, I still haven't been able to do it all. I soo want to go there in the fall so I can see Central Park with all the gorgeous colors and catch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person. I want to go in the winter so I can see Rockefeller Center ice rink with the GORGEOUS trees and I might as well just stay until New Years Ever so I can watch the ball drop in person with Ryan Seacrest and Dick Clark. I will do this one day before I die!!!
Well my lovelies, where do you want to make it to before you leave this Earth???

So you wanna know a little bit about me huh?
Well this week I was tagged by two of my lovely followers and fellow bloggers in a game of "Tag". No better day than today to answer their lovely questions so here goes:
1. If you could spend one entire day (24 hours) with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be and what would you do?
Well I'm not going to lie. I would love to spend an entire day with any of the handsome guys listed HERE, but I honestly must say that I would choose to spend it with my grandma who died of pancreatic cancer when I was 4. I never really got to know her very well since I was so young when she died, but I hear all these great stories about her that make me wish I did.
2. If you could only listen to ONE song for the rest of your life, which song would it be and why?
I honestly have to say that I can't answer this one. I don't think I could only listen to just one song for the rest of my life. I love music too much and I get sick of things being overdone way to easily :)
3. What did you want to be when you were a child?
I remember wanting to be a variety of things when I was little. Lets see there was a veteranarian, teacher, pediatrician, and psychologist. I became none of those things...
4. If you were yogurt, would you be fruit at the bottom, or stirred?
I would be stirred. Too much hassle to be fruit at the bottom. Somehow it never ends up tasting as good, no matter how long you mix it.
5. What's one show you wish they would bring back? OR What's a film you wish would have a sequel made or a film you wish would be remade?
This is a tough one. I love soo many shows from the 90's that I wish I could still watch new eppys of. If I had to pick one though it would definetley be FRIENDS!! I loved this show. I could watch it for the rest of my life I do believe!
6. If you could come visit me and spend a weekend in New Orleans, would you want to? Why or why not? (This is completely hypothetical, of course.)
Hecks yes! I love traveling and have never been to New Orleans!!
7. Do you think Ross and Rachel made a great couple? If not, give me three reasons why I should still consider you a blogging buddy.
Oh yea! I was so happy in the series finale when she got off the plane!!
8. You rub a lamp and a genie (voiced by Robin Williams) pops out and grants you three wishes. The same rules apply as in Aladdin. What do you wish for?
Lets see I would wish for:
1. Enough money to be able to live comfortably for the rest of my life and also be able to donate to all the various charities I want to and give to my family and friends.
2. My very own prince charming and beautiful, healthy kids.
3. An all expensive paid trip to Australia :)
1. What is your all time favorite book?
Goodness, this is a tough one. I like a lot of books that I have read. I used to love those "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books a lot though :)
2. If you had one "do over" what would it be, and would you really take the chance?
Well I have honestly never made any real serious mistakes in life. However there have been a few little things that looking back now, I would have done the complete opposite to. Guess thats why they say hindsight is 20/20 huh?
3. Complete this phrase, "When life hands you lemons...."
"hand them back!!"
4. What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
Hmmm I can't really thing of anything other than to "just be yourself" really. However I have always liked the saying "A drunk mans words are a sober mans thoughts" though. Not really advice, but does make sense!
5. What is your favorite holiday and why?
Hands down it is Christmas. I love everything about it! The decorating, shopping, family and friends time, Midnight Mass, music, etc...
6. What was your childhood nickname?
Nicki and Nickie-Cole
7. Do you thrift? If so, what is your favorite thrifty shoppe??
I don't so much shop at thrift stores, but I am 100% a thrifty shopper. I will very rarely pay full price for anything unless I absolutely need it. If its not on sale or I don't have a coupon, it can wait!

Sick of Them Saturday!!
Well lovely readers, I was thinking about who or what to blog about for this entry back around Tuesday and Wednesday and I was worried that I wouldn't have anyone. Can you believe it?! Nobody was making me sick of them!! Luckily though that all changed by the end of the week:
1. Lindsay Lohan
Oh Lindsay, will you never learn?! Apparently not. Let's see about 3 or 4 weeks ago LiLo was released from an extremely short stay in rehab all "clean and sober". Fast forward 3 or 4 weeks and LiLo fails her mandatory drug testing, apparently testing positive for cocaine. So that means she violated the rules of her probation so its back to jail for Lindsay right? That is sure how it seemed early Friday afternoon. The judge revoked her probation, set NO bail and it seemed as if LiLo would be spending the time until her next hearing at the end of October behind bars. Well that is how it seemed at first. Turns out her attorney wasn't too happy about all of this and demanded she get bail set. Well apparently the judge decided to give in late Friday evening and LiLo's bail was then set at $300,000 which I'm assuming she paid about 30 seconds later. Her next hearing isn't until October 22 and I'm sure if she gets any jail time for violating probation it will be an extremely short sentence. These celebs are never going to learn if they keep getting away with everything!!
2. Katy Perry's banned Sesame Street segment
Ok so here's the deal. Katy Perry appeared on Sesame Street with Elmo and sang a child friendly variation of her song "Hot and Cold". A video of the appearance appeared on the Internet before the episode aired. Parents were apparently furious at Katy's dress and eventually got Sesame Street to decide not to air Katy's appearance. So here is my 2 cents. Yes Katy's dress was a little too low cut for a preschool show. HOWEVER, the producers DIDN'T see any problem with it themselves since they allowed her to wear it to begin with. I myself don't think that any child that is a fan of SESAME STREET AND ELMO are even paying attention to her dress whatsoever. Children are innocent. They aren't looking at Katy's breasts. These children are babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. They have more interest in the cute little puppets and the fun little song than the dress. My 7 month old nephew LOVES Sesame Street and even though he can't talk yet to answer this question himself, I am sure if you asked what he was looking at he would say ELMO. Some people need to realize that small kids don't think about things the way adults do. I remember watching Home Improvement when I was little because I was in love with the adorable boys on the show. When I watch it now, I understand all the adult jokes and sexual innuendos that are said. I didn't have a clue what anything meant when I watched this show when I was little because my mind didn't think that way. Just like children that watch Sesame Street don't think about Katy Perry's dress being too sexual. IDK just my opinion.
3. AT&T
I have had AT&T phone service for almost 10 years off and on. I started with them when I got my first phone then switched to Sprint for about 2 years and then switched back to ATT. I have never had any real trouble with ATT until last week. Starting last Thursday, I wasn't receiving any texts. I was able to send them, make phone calls, and access the Internet perfectly fine, but couldn't receive messages. Shockingly it took me two days to realize that I wasn't receiving them (which is strange since I normally get about 10 or so from CNN and E!News alone a day). Last Friday night I called customer service and talked to them a good hour or so . They told me numerous things to try, but nothing would work. I was able to receive texts that AT&T customer service sent though, but nothing else. So the problem doesn't get solved Friday night so they tell me they will call me back tomorrow to see if it is working yet. They call me Saturday morning and it still isn't working. The lady then tells me to go to an AT&T store and have them try my SIM card in another phone. If my messages come through to that phone, then there is a prob with my phone. If they don't there is a prob with my SIM card....so they tell me. So I go to the store and tell the guy what they said to do. I THOUGHT he did what I said, but he still can't get it to work. He then calls customer service again and they tell him everything they told me the night before. So almost an hour later it still isn't working. He tells me they are going to look into it and give me a call. So shortly after leaving the store, a guy calls me to tell me that I now have a case number and they will be getting back to me later that week. On Sunday I start getting messages, but they are from THURSDAY!! So I get a few messages from Thursday, but still none from the current day. Monday I get more messages from days before and a message from ATT telling me that my problem is resolved....ummm no it's not. So I call ATT on my 30 minute lunch break and end up spending an hour on the phone and get nothing accomplished. The lady does call the guy from the store that I talked to Saturday and asks if he tried my card in another phone, but he didn't remember (thanks dude). So she tells me to try it in another phone. So I swap SIM card with my coworker and low and behold, right when I put my card in her phone, messages start POURING in. Her card was working in my phone too though so that means the card works AND the phone works. So now I'm thinking WTF?!?! So that night I get home and find my old phone, charge it up and stick my card in there. Wouldn't ya know it, I get about 20 old messages. Once I get caught up on old messages, I put the card back in my current phone and IT WORKS. I still don't know what was up with not receiving them, but I really wish the guy at the store had actually done what I told him to do per the customer service lady. If he had done that it would've saved me many days of dealing with different reps.GRRR ATT!!!!! (Don't worry though, I still love them!) The plus side is, now I know how to fix it if it happens again!!
Sorry about my LONG rants, but seriously!!! Who or what were you sick of this week?
P.S. Be sure to check out the "Follow Them Friday" below. I accidently scheduled it for the wrong date so it didn't get posted until Friday afternoon. Make sure to check it out though!!

Since Kroger will double coupons up to $1, I always take all my coupons that are above 50 cents here to redeem them. I highly recommend everyone doing this. You get brand name items for basically free!!
Also this week I made a trip to my apartment office to pick up some packages that I had received. First off, I made a donation to the USO to help our troops and they were kind enough to send me a nice big USA Flag :). I also received an adorable dish that I had won from a recent blog giveaway thanks to Teresa @ FunFritzFamily. I won the lovely little dish pictured below from Good Memories Cafe.
I LOVE IT!!! It is so cute with great detail. I love the little cloud above the tree that says "dream" on it. Thank you sooo much for my beautiful gift :).
I'd also like to thank all my fellow bloggers for the recent awards I have been receiveing. I have received a few these last couple days and I am ecstatic! I am so glad you are enjoying my blog!!!

Weekly Song Wednesday!!
First off I have to give a big thanks to Carol for the "Lovely Blog Award". Thank you sooo much!! I am glad you like my blog, especially my "Sick of Them Saturday" posts :). Now onto this week's song. I debated on picking this week's song a couple weeks ago, but thought against it because it is so mainstream and played so often. I generally try to feature songs that aren't being played on the radio every 35 minutes for this feature. However, two or three weeks later I still love this song so I finally decided to give in and pick it. Actually I had my "YouTube Tuesday" pick a few weeks ago of some other people singing this song pretty well, but now its time for the original artists. This weeks song is "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem and Rihanna. Don't hate me lol!

YouTube Tuesday!!
First off my lovely readers, if you have any video suggestions that you would like to submit for a future YouTube Tuesday, feel free to let me know! I am very much open to suggestions. (Don't worry Jess, I still have the one you mentioned. It will be featured very soon :) ). That being said, this week's pick was one that I discovered a while ago. It is of a baby watching his dad play golf on the Wii. This baby has the funniest laugh I have ever heard from such a little body. I laugh everytime I watch it. Enjoy!!

My 5 Monday!!
Ahhh fall is in the air here in Michigan. I actually really like fall. I didn't so much back when I was younger and it meant school was starting again, but now that I am old and all I love when fall arrives. Here in the great mitten state, everybody loves when spring arrives. We then all enjoy summer for a good month or so and then its way too humid for anyone's liking. This summer was especially hot and humid with temps being in the 90's a good portion of the season. That being said I am so happy that fall is here. Therefore, this weeks topic for My 5 Monday is:
My 5 Favorite Things About Fall!
1. Cooler temps= HOODIES!!!
Call me crazy, but I just love my hoodies. I have about 20 of them I'm sure so now that temps are in the 50's and 60's I can actually wear them. I love being able to go outside and feel that cool crisp air and be completely comfortable in a hoodie and jeans. I won't be so much a fan when I have to wear hoodies and winter jackets and am still freezing though. I'm going to enjoy my hoodies and jeans while I can!!
2. FOOTBALL!!!!
Well I love me some Detroit Tigers, but since it is clear they aren't getting into the post season this year I love me some football! Being from Michigan, I can't be such a huge fan since my hometeam is never all that great, but I still love watching football games. Back in my high school days, my favorite thing about Friday nights was hitting up the high school football game. Now that I am in my twenties, I don't go to actual games anymore, but still love watching the Michigan Wolverines play on TV. Starting off pretty great this season too with a 3-0 record. Unfortunatley my Lions keep getting screwed somehow. I still say they won that first game and I'm sticking to it!!
3. Colorful Leaves
I just love when the leaves turn to their pretty orange, yellow and red. I kinda hate when they all fall off and we are forced to look at bare trees for 5 or 6 months, but when they are still on and different colors it is absolutely gorgeous!!
4. Halloween
Well I am too old to go trick or treating, too scared to go to haunted houses, and don't have any kids of my own to get all dressed up yet, but I still quite enjoy Halloween. I love the decorating and the fact that I can eat as much candy as I want and tell myself its okay because its Halloween and thats what you are supposed to do. I also love handing out candy to all the adorable trick or treaters.
5. Thanksgiving/ Black Friday
Okay so let me be honest. I do love getting together with the family and eating a great big delicious dinner on Thanksgiving. I'm not gonna lie though, after eating all that great food my favorite thing to do is to head into the living room and start looking through the paper at all the Black Friday ads. Actually, I look at the ads first thing that morning when I wake up. I have been going shopping on Black Friday with my mom and sister since I was about 8 years old and I LOVE it. I look forward to it every year. I actually start counting down the months left till Black Friday in about July or so. We usually wake up around 4 and head out sometime around 5 am. This year though I may be brave and do the all night and all day shopping. You can count on a blog post about all my great deals from that day too!!
There ya have it. My 5 favorite things about this lovely season of Fall. What are some of your favorite things.

Sick of Them Saturday!!
Well after last week's hiatus so I could bring you the much deserving "Salute Them Saturday" in tribute to 9/11, Sick of Them Saturday is back. YAY!!!! Guess what folks, a frequent flyer appears once again!!
1. Justin frickin Bieber
Yes I know you are all thrilled. I am sure most of you are as sick of him as I am though. So this week of course was the VMA's. As if seeing all the stupid "Road to the VMA's starring JB" weren't enough, when the actual show started we got a countdown of minutes until he "performed". It's like it was fricking New Years Eve or something. Of course when Justin finally did come on all he did was "perform" cause he sure as heck didn't sing live. Sounded pretty much like he lip synched to me. Whoop tee fricking doo! So as if seeing Justin plastered all over MTV and magazines and hearing him constantly isn't enough I also found out that this week on the season premiere of "CSI", Justin is guest starring. You have GOT to be kidding me! Seriously CSI? Are you trying to attract the 5-14 year old girls to your show cause I am pretty sure your normal viewing audience isn't his biggest fan. Congrats Justin Bieber, you may have only won one moonman (I think? that was all I remember at least), but you have won the "Sick of Them Saturday" award for the third time I do believe!
2. Oprah's audience
Actually I am not sick of Oprah's audience. I am actaully more jealous. How nice it must be to show up to her show expecting just an ordinary show (well maybe a small gift, because this is Oprah after all) and end up winning a trip to AUSTRALIA!!! As if that weren't enough, you are going to be flown there by John Travolta serving as your pilot. I am so fricking jealous!!! If I ever got to go to the Oprah show I would probably get to be there when you got nothing whatsoever. Honestly people, after giving away cars, thousands of dollars worth of gifts around Christmas time, and now a trip across the fricking globe with an A list actor as your pilot, how many of you think people want to be in her audience JUST to win an amazing gift. I would be so let down if I didn't get anything. I know that is selfish, but it is also true!
3. Mentally Unstable People
Okay so this list seems to grow every week. First there was the "Serial Stabber" right here in my city. This guy went around stabbing completely innocent people day after day, week after week, for months for no reason whatsoever. He would approach them late at night or early morning, ask them for help, and then when the good samiaritan went to help him he would stab them and then drive off. I believe he stabbed 20 people. Most of those were here in Michigan, one was in Ohio, and two or three were in Virginia. Five of the victims stabbed here in Flint died. The reason for all of this is still unknown. Next we have the man who decided to create a hostage situation at the Discovery Channel building. Apparently this guy was mad that Discovery was promoting and producing shows such as "Kate Plus 8" and "19 Kids and Counting" that promoted overpopulation. He would rather them feature shows that promote sterilization since humans are destroying the world. Seriously dude, I don't think that is quite the reason things are the way they are. Next there was the lady who first accused some random lady of throwing acid on her face and is now being accused of throwing it on her own face. Ummm this seems like a very painful thing to do for 15 minutes of fame. Just my opinion though. Finally there was the tragic incident at Johns Hopkins this week. Some man who apparently got upsetting news about his mothers medical condition decided to shoot the doctor delievering the info, then shot and killed his mother followed by commiting suicide himself. I myself work in a hospital so this was pretty scary to think it could really happen.
Well folks there you have it. Who are you sick of this week??

Weekly Song Wednesday!!
I'm not gonna lie. I had a hard time picking this week's song. Therefore, if it seems like a random choice, it is. This week's song is actually a cover of a very popular song. It is "Hey Jude" sung by this years American Idol Lee Dewyze. I was actually a Lee fan this season and think I have heard him played on the radio a total of one time since winning. I love the raspiness of his voice though and absolutely love his version of this classic song. Enjoy!!

YouTube Tuesday!!
This week's YouTube Tuesday also comes from America's Got Talent. Unlike the last AGT one I posted, this one isn't gross or funny. Just simply AMAZING! The little girl in the video below is 10. That's right people only 10!! I am somewhat creeped out by the voice that comes out of her, but simply amazed also. SO BEAUTIFUL! This isn't my type of music, but this girl DEFINITELY has a career. If you want to see if she wins, make sure to tune in to NBC tonight for her performance and tomorrow for the results. I honestly don't want her to win since the winner gets a headlining show in Vegas and Vegas is no place for 10 year olds. However, she does have talent. No arguing with that! Enjoy!!

My 5 Monday!!
This week really took some thinking for "My 5 Monday". I decided to continue my time with nostalgia and have this weeks theme be"
"My 5 Posters I Had on My Wall As A Child/Teen"
1. Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Well my wall was COVERED in posters of him from the years of about 93-98. I had just about every single poster from every single magazine he had been in. Also owned most of the big ones that you buy at the store. I basically made wallpaper with him.
2. Devon Sawa
Whatever part of my wall wasnt covered in JTT during my elementary/middle school years was covered in Devon Sawa. I LOVED him. My bestie Becca and I would fast forward and rewind the movie "Casper" to the end just so we could see the 5 minute part that he was actually in. Also loved "Little Giants" and you can imagine how ecstatic I was when "Wild America" came out and I could watch my two crushes in the same movie! Becca even called up the love song station one summer night back in 1996 and dedicated "Remember Me This Way" to him. Ahhh to be a pre-teen!!
3. O-Town
Okay so let me be honest and say that I LOVED boy bands back in the late 90's/ early 00's. I preferred Nsync over BSB, but then O-Town came around and they were my all time fav. Now many of you may not remember O-Town, but they were pretty big in the beginning of the millenium. The fact that they starred in a reality show was basically the icing on the cake for me. I actually have all three seasons on VHS still! I think all these guys were adorable, but I think Dan and Erik mighta been my favs!!
4. Justin Timberlake
Well JT made an appearance on my wall later in my teens. JTT and Devon had to come down and they were replaced by this exact poster. He still is just as hot as he was back when he was hanging on my wall! If I weren't so old, he would totally be there still!
5. The OC
Well I was completely in love with this show when it came out. I also loved that the added the word "The" to the beginning of almost everything. Just like JT, this poster was also on my wall during my late teens. Thank God for TV on DVD so I can still watch this show whenever I please!!
Well there ya have it! The people that decorated my walls for a good 10 years or so. Who did you have on your wall when you were a kid/teen??
